A CLASSIC ABS​

THE DESIGN OF A HARNESS IS FIRST BASED ON GEOMETRY AND SEATING, TO STICK PHILOSOPHIE :

« A HARNESS MUST FIRST FLY WELL, A BAG MUST FIRST CARRY WELL.». 

The design has therefore focused on two points:

• Classic ABS: The Race Up is normally flown with high aspect ratio wings, which require a harness with a classic ABS (Anti-Balance System)

​- for precise thermal flying,

​- for accelerated flying without a tendency to roll or instability.

• This ABS reduces wing tip flapping in thermals and you are less likely to be forced back into straight flight. 

• The roll axis can be adjusted by precisely adjusting the chest strap.

CLOSING: 

ONE SINGLE ACTION ​

Once the two buckles on the les straps are fastened, a single action is all it takes to close the cocoon very easily using an ultra-light carabiner. 

This action is protected by a certified anti-forget carabiner. It also activates the STAND UP RESCUE system. 

The cocoon is simply closed with a magnetic zipper.

PARACHUTE OPENING AND DOWNPLANE

Without pilot intervention during the opening of the reserve parachute, the probabilities of a downplane are high, and the paraglider will place itself opposite to the parachute.

THE PROBLEM: LANDING ON YOUR BACK

If the pilot throws reserve at low altitude and doesn’t have enough time, or if they’re unable to disable the glider (due to twists, for example), a downplane will occur.

The distance between the shoulders and the main attachment point creates a lever effect, placing the pilot horizontally on their back. The pilot follows the fall, not being able to react, with an inevitable impact on the back

THE SOLUTION: THE STAND UP SYSTEM

The STAND-UP system by NEO helps avoiding this stretched position, regardless the flying configuration.

The attachment points are now located at the glider’s attachment point.

“STAND-UP” MEANS: THE PILOT SITTING UP AUTOMATICALLY

This patented system allows the pilot to straighten up and land sitting or standing, as they wish. It is then up to the pilot to choose their position for returning to the ground. Sitting as if on a chair, the action required to move to a fully standing position is extremely simple.
